Time to catch up

A lot has happened since my last post.

I've applied to Augsburg, which was, formally, my top choice college. That has changed to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I have some friends that go there, and I went and stayed during my second spring break (BPHS) and had a blast, fell in love with the campus, and have decided that is where I would like to go.

Speech Subsections came and went. I got fifth place, and was extremely disappointed. You need fourth place to go to sections, so therefore, I am the alternate, and will not be going. I had a lot of previous success earlier in the season, but due to the topics, which were more complicated, and the competitors, I did not come out the top dawg. Oh well, always next year.

It has been one full year (April 1st, 2006) since I got my first car. The white buick regal, or the "caddy" as my dad calls it. She's been through a lot in those 365 days, including... Trips Up North, to Longville, MN; A Hit and Run in Longville, MN; accident at the golf course in Belle Plaine (not my fault) and got completely fixed; a speeding ticket in December, which, coincidentally happened on the same day that my sister got her license; and finally, having to endure one entire month, without me driving it, as a result of the ticket. I love that car.

I cast the Junior High One Act Play, of which I am the director. The cast list went up, and I stuck around (unseen) to hear the reactions, which were comical. Now the show has begun, and it is going to be interesting...

Thats all for now.
Oh, by the way, 3rd quarter grades came...

BPHS:

Choir: B+
Forensic Science: B+
Publications: B+

MSU:

Public Speaking: A
American Racial Minority: B
Mass Communication: A

How funny is that, better grades in college, than at high school...hmm

Patrick, Papa & I are so proud of all you do. I love reading your blogs, you write them so well. I don't know how you keep such good grades with as busy as you always are. Take time for yourself too, you deserve it.
